Imagine the increased performance, fuel economy
and extended range. Go for one of our new 250 or
225-horse, 3.3-liter Big Blocks and factor in an amazing
increase in handling and control, thanks to a

Four Stroke Series
There are a lot of reasons to go with a four stroke outboard. Make it a Yamaha and you're going with the most advanced marine inspired four stroke technology on the water today. The first thing you'll notice is how compact and lightweight Yamaha Four Strokes are. That's because we didn't take an automotive design and adapt it to the water. We created them from scratch as marine engines.

As with all four strokes, there's no mixing or adding oil to your fuel. But all similarity ends there. Yamaha's unique Labyrinth Exhaust design is whisper-quiet, and the Double Overhead Cam minimizes vibration, for smoother trolling. The exclusive Inertia Charge System delivers supercharged power, yet provides up to 30% more range and fuel efficiency than a conventional two-stroke.
And our Four Strokes are so clean-running they exceed the Federal EPA emission standards for 2006.

There's a Yamaha Four Stroke tailor-made for every application, from featherweight inflatables and the most ponderous pontoons to today's demanding dual-engine offshore boats. A full line, ranging from 2.5hp to our breakthrough 225hp V6. All backed by our 3-year limited warranty.

Yamaha's four strokes exceed Federal EPA 2006 emission requirements and depending on the model have earned a California C.A.R.B. three-star rating for ultra-low emission, or a two-star for very low emissions.
